As a leader in the field, I am a frequent contributor on these subjects at national conferences, documentaries, blogs, magazines, and podcasts. I also write a weekly relationship advice column available on my blog. I founded and ran an outpatient sexual addiction and betrayal trauma recovery group program for over 14 years, co-founded and chaired a local conference to educate community members about harmful media, and founded and administered a specialized group therapy practice for over 12 years. Podcast Description
In the realm of healing, there isn’t a one size fits all approach. There are many different methods to access deep emotions and needs. One resource for healing is the cleansing method of breath work. Roxanne Granata joins us to explain this healing practice and how to access emotions stored deep within our gut as opposed to those in our minds. In this episode, we discuss:
- What exactly is breath work?
- How does it help all of us, especially those struggling with trauma/addiction?
- What is revelation breath work?
- Where does someone start with breach work?
More on Roxanne's Background:
Hi All! I like to get super open because vulnerability fosters connection and there’s nothing better. You will find that in everything I do I share personal life experiences. All of this came to be because I embarked on a journey of healing from betrayal trauma being the spouse (now ex) of an addict. I had some serious dedication, and somewhat perfectionism (which has now been addressed and continually being conquered) to find recovery. The resources I found blew my mind with so much awesomeness I didn’t know existed in the world of healing! I loved learning this hard stuff! Because of diving head first into all I could get my hands on, I was directed to methods of healing that changed my life. I now use what I’ve studied and practiced in helping all those who desire to move forward in their personal life and career regardless of the situation. With over 1,000 hours of study, counseling, mentor groups, and facilitating 12-step partner groups, I became a specialist in navigating through Betrayal trauma as well as guiding individuals and groups through discovering what’s holding them back from living their divine purpose and passion.
My rock bottom point turned me into the Author of Cutting Ties – Healing Betrayal Trauma as the Spouse of an Addict. I’m the Host of the Choose In Podcast, Motivational Speaker with over 15 years of experience, and a personal Coach for those ready to uncover what is holding them back. I am here to guide you to see your reality with truth so you can choose healing and move forward in life becoming the best version of yourself. My passion is to walk beside you giving you a direction so you can “Go from, I don’t know what to do, to taking action and creating a life you love.”I dated my new husband in college in 1992 and married him 27 years later. I am the Mother of 4 grown children, have a beautiful daughter in law, 3 bonus children, and one darling grand baby. I used to play tennis and loved it! I need to turn that into playing pickleball. I love finding restaurants with quality food, sitting in serene places to get personal and work related inspiration, and I thrive on taking courses to gain more and more insight into how our souls truly want to show up in the world. I am here to help you! Let’s get started.
